Mother’s Day is fast approaching so I wanted to help out all my last-minute girlies (and anyone else) who needed some inspiration for gift and celebration ideas! These are all things that are on brand for me, in case you wanted to see gifts and ideas with some Melissa flair!

- Create a picnic basket and set-up and have a picnic at a beautiful garden, beach, water feature, etc.
- Help with extra household tasks she hasn't had time for or hasn't thought about.
- Take her to her favorite restaurant, coffee shop, or bar.
- Get your nails done together or see if any spas have last minute openings for her favorite treatment.
- Pay for a cleaning service to come help with a house deep clean.
- When in doubt, write her an IOU card, but actually follow through.

My Mother’s Day Plans
My mom and I are going to celebrate early to accommodate her schedule. She’s been wanting to go to Ikea, so I’m going to join her and try to swipe my card before she swipes hers! We will probably end up going to some of her favorite sporting goods stores (she’s so adventurous – the apple fell very far from the tree when she had me LOL!). I know we will for sure stop somewhere for lunch or a coffee. I think I might take her to her favorite restaurant in Orlando, depending on what food she’s in the mood for.
For Nick’s mom, she is always SO busy so celebrating her is TBD! We still need to plan something to do for her or with her. We will probably end up just getting her a gift certificate to her favorite spa and having dinner with her. It’s honestly so dependent on her schedule, so we will see!
Lastly, I consider myself the mom to two wild golden retrievers. Hopefully, Nick thought about that and had them make me a card! LOL
